The Destin Fire Control District is committed to saving lives and preserving property throughout the area served by the Fire District. They requested services to paint and repair the exterior of Destin Fire Control District 10.
The problem to be solved:
The Fire Station need the exterior painted for a fresh new look of the building without interrupting the firefighter’s workday and the flow of business! It was very important that areas not being painted were covered and protected to avoid overspray. A 45′ boom lift provided the safety and efficiency we needed to access hard to reach areas. Working effectively with the Fire Station staff while minimizing interruption in their workday is so rewarding.
Scope
- Provide all required equipment/machinery for entire project.
- Spray clean all surfaces to be painted.
- Remove all chalking conditions that exist.
- Caulk all joints and cracks as needed.
- Nail all siding that is loose and trim boards.
- Prime all raw wood as needed.
- Replace rotten wood as needed.
- Replace siding as needed.
Solution:
We made sure we blocked off zones of the parking lot before production and worked quickly and efficiently throughout the duration of the project to ensure the staff was able to continue with business operations.

Final Result
With one crew we finished the building within 1 week. The Destin Fire Station looks like a brand-new facility thanks to the power washing, prep work, repairs and fresh coat of paint!
